In Georgia, 1,279,310 are facing hunger. It’s tough not to think of those in need as the Christmas season approaches as you gather with friends and family. Layoffs and firm downsizing have compounded the problem as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, making it much tougher to combat than before.
This is a problem that folks in our community face on a regular basis. As a result, our Community Cause effort over the next three months will focus on supporting the North Gwinnett Co-Op, which provides food, clothing, financial assistance, and spiritual support to those in need. Originally formed by Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in 1991, the ministry is now supported by additional congregations, area businesses, civic organizations, schools and individuals who generously donate food, clothing, financial resources, and committed volunteer efforts. Supporting their mission is easy!
